I got a Dining and a Movie Voucher from Big City Promotions along with my Standard Chartered credit card. I had a very good experience indeed. I had booked for a dinner-date in advance citing my coupon code. The seats were reserved and had no problem at the venue. My wife was too happy, and so was I, using the voucher.
Though I had to experience a little inconvenience while booking for the movie as the movie hall was house full. But later I was able to book the tickets, getting my vouchers redeemed.
The inconvenience you might have suffered from, may be due to incorrect coupon code citing or non presentation of the voucher. I m confident enough to say that your movie tickets or your dinner couldn’t have been booked because of the incompliance of the terms and conditions mentioned.

I too availed the Free Movie Ticket offer over the sweets worth Rs. 600/-. The difference is I was rather satisfied by availing the movie tickets, unlike you.
I had purchased some sweets from Bikanervala worth few thousands and got an offer of either taking sweets or few movie tickets. I took the tickets offer. Few days after, I booked my tickets 2 days in advance and to my delight the process was too easy and convenient.
In your case, I believe there must have been some discrepancy at your end in making the booking in advance. Obviously no one shall entertain on the spot availing of the free offer, and more over it was mentioned in the terms and conditions too. You could have also approached the Bikanervala officials. And the rest as they say, Let the buyer be aware, though I m very happy with the Free Movie Tickets offered by Big city.

I have also heard that under the programme, a customer who shopped for more than Rs.1,500 was eligible to get salon services worth Rs.1500. We tied up with salons in 40-50 cities, where the (makeover programme) vouchers would be accepted.

They confirmed a different time on the call and went ahead and booked an appt for some other time.
When I called back they refused to change the time and the girl kept saying the appt is already booked. No apologies.. and hold for more than half an hour...
